In the race to support the AI boom, cooling and electrification is becoming the primary constraint. Alberta is well positioned to support the development of the AI industry, with the government announcing at least a dozen mega projects to be constructed within the heart of Canada’s oil and gas country. Cold climate geology, proven subsurface developments, and innovative drilling approaches support the development of this hyper growing industry. It’ll take an all hands on deck approach from the geothermal industry, to ensure sustainable practices are at the forefront of these developments.
